Well the real, real man's alphabet challenge would be to incorporate this with the alphabet drinking challenge....
i.e. getting out at each station finding the nearest pub and having a pint.....
Any estimates on how many weeks this would take

With all the research and training I would have to do, I'm certain I could drag this out for years! Anyone care to join me?

Or possibly ignoring the plural 's' and '1' before '4' - new to me, but reasonable...
I would sort the Heathrow Terminals 1 2 3 before Heathrow Terminal[space]4 as I personally think letters before numbers before spaces before other special characters.
I, however, would never know which order to put ! and @ in or anything like that.

OK - I've looked into this. First day, you start at Acton Town 05:15 and end in Buckhurst Hill 00:25 covering 32 stations! This points to a 9 day total to cover 275 stations... (Probably 10 due to Saturday/Sunday traffic).
However, the next morning one would leave Burnt Oak at 05:24... With public transportation you'd arrive at 01:59 in Burnt Oak - not much sleep...
I'd say this challenge is impossible to complete within the GWR rules, because you could essentially not use any private transportation for the duration of challenge... With private transportation allowed I guess a dedicated team of MC drivers could speed things up considerably - perhaps possible to complete the challenge in a week!!!

No ridiculously early starts and finishes.
Yes very leisurely if you take a beer in at each station as well.....
Actually my leisurely approach would be to visit as many as possible each day allowing time to get home in the evening (Hatton Cross)....
And then starting again from Hatton Cross the next day heading to the next letter where you left off previously.....

What's annoying with H is that so many of them are grouped together in the south west corner, but you have to break out of them to fit the rest in, viz:
Yes when Ric first mentioned this to me last week before posting topic I went home and looked at the map and "H" is most frustrating

This depends on whether anyone is bold enough to go to the nearest pub to Vauxhall...

Choose a day when cricket is on at the Oval the pubs are full of non-locals then
