- the pub start is to play some games first to get "warmed up"

Well, then maybe a pub start but not one of the four.
(And like Andy, I'm not to keen on the William IV - not because of the pub itself but just the very awkward location!)

The Biathlon format needs to stay pretty much the same so as to keep comparisons with previous Games.
The first pub will be the Lord Palmerston (Walthamstow) where we will start and the last will be our usual (Blue Posts) as these pubs I can easily reserve the dartboard and at the latter we can then stay at for the closing ceremony. The other two pubs in between I am looking at different venues to make it an interesting challenge.

Bearing in mind rule 13a for the middle 2 pubs from 2014
"13a. If you cannot gain access to the dartboard at The Angel in the Fields or The Bricklayers Arms you can try and find a substitute dartboard at another pub (of your choice) or wait until the board becomes free."

I'm hoping to do the full network challenge but not 100% certain yet. The first few times I tried it I started at Chesham and definitely won't be doing that again.

That certainly seems (from my perspective) a more appealing start/finish combination than the 2014 set-up.
Whilst the LP is still a little awkward, being at the start of the challenge (and in daylight) at least means there isn't a long trek home at the end, whereas (for me) Blue Posts is either 1 train or 2 to home depending on timing, and well located for anyone else to get home as well.
