These parkruns start at 9am don't they.... I do fancy one but that mean leaving home around 7.30am and a long gap between that and the actual R15 leaves a void to fill and muscles may tighten.... :?

Would love to do an R15, but can't come because I'm away then - maybe next time.

I know everyone's doing parkrun but that's not very long.

If anyone's at a loss for something to do beforehand though (admittedly it's more of a tangy thing), the New Bus for London starts its second route, number 11 on the 21st of September.

http://www.tfl.gov.uk/corporate/media/n ... 28022.aspx

Route 11 very conveniently terminates at Liverpool Street. For those who don't know, it runs from Fulham Broadway to Sloane Square, then parallels the Circle Line to Mansion House before cutting through Bank to Liverpool Street.
All London buses: 23 hours 25 minutes (with Adham, David, Josh and Tangy)
Holds some alternative challenge records. Not sure which ones.

The beauty about this starting station is that I could get up late and get a train around 11:50, and still pull in on time.. But I won't! I fancy a warm-up too and I'm eyeing up a Leyton Midland Road - Leyton run...

Are the Northern Line stations from Belsize Park through to Hendon Central still possible choices? That could be fun.

well it seems the TfL engineering works section is contradicting itself.

As if I search specially for 21st September it gives me just Liverpool Street- Woodford (via loop) and nothing about the Northern line, though the list given on the opening post is from the "6 month track closure" document!

Looking at an actual track diagram I can't see how a train can be turned at Chalk Farm (nearest crossover is Hampstead), similar at Angel. If this does go ahead I am thinking of a Hampstead/East Finchley- Charing X/Moorgate block rather than as literally written. We will wait to nearer the day for confirmation.

Anyway, all stations that can be visited will be in the draw, so should Golders Green be picked (for example) it will still need to be visited in the normal way, despite that section of line being in effect marooned from the rest of the network.

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!

Perhaps they have reconsidered closing that section of the Northern line after finding out about the R15 challenge!

tangy wrote:When next season starts off I will be operating a bit different. In Andi's case at NXG (for example) this would have resulted in a DSQ as he failed to visit one of the required stations in the correct manner i.e by using ELL trains (or shared tracks with ELL services). The result would be zero points being scored for that round, the same applies if you visit the wrong station (i.e Padd H&C rather than Circle/Bakerloo) as again you failed to visit the 15 stations as listed. If you realise your mistake and correct it within the time limit then full points will be awarded.

Points will be awarded if you fail to complete the 15 stations for reasons outside your control (i.e line suspension, severe delays, sudden illness etc.) meaning you run out of time before visiting all the stations. The time limit on a no twists Z1-2 is 4 hours (twist rounds will have an applicable amount of extra time added as advised).
Are you going to keep these rule changes, then, Tangy? What, therefore, will the extended time limit be?

Like always any form of public transport is allowed. But I don't think tramlink will appear in the draw.
