I'm glad I'm not the only one who's made that mistake then! Just shows the need to do a couple of visits to London prior to doing the challenge.

Mind you Google Street View is a very useful tool in this regard.

i have been to london a number of times in the last few years to stay with my brother... i know certain parts of the map really well... (routes to sport stadia for example...

found this lodged deep in the TFL website yesterday night
http://www.tfl.gov.uk/gettingaround/1129.aspx

first and last tubes... it will change before i do my run i suspect, however, now i know where to find it...

(now i need a small clock with no battery in it, helps as an aid to work out the timings when i do the masterplan)

Better than first and last tubes, there are complete WTTs available online here: http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/w ... round_line

seeing as he wants to do over 2 days the working timetable be irrevelant he really only has to aim for 135 stations each day any more on first day will be a bonus and make 2nd day easier (even RHYS could do this one)

i am currently leaning towards 1 day, but its gonna be a hell of a long day.... the first train out of cockfosters is 5:10am

that means packing the rucksack the night before, getting up at 4:30 to get a very quick shower
and get down to the station to get our all day tickets in time for the first train

The tube challenge was the cause of my first ever 24 hour awake period :P Doesn't help needing to travel to and from Milton Keynes to do it though!
