At the moment I have a virus that started over two weeks ago and has spread from a sore throat, into a nasal head cold into a chest infection with continual coughing since Saturday which has strained the abdominal muscles causing severe pain...One minute I am running a tempertaure the next I have a t-shirt and 2 fleeces on :!:

I took time off work yestarday and didn't even have the energy to go to our darts match last night, the first I have ever missed in over 10 years

I haven't been able to cycle to work this week or attempt to jog/run since the Park Challenge in Dcemeber due to ongoing achilles tendonitus issues pending NHS referal to physio.....

In a nutshell aside from the fact I am falling apart my participation on Saturday is doubtful...

Groan.

Personally I would go for what Tangy suggested which is the Overground/DLR in as well.

So in respect of any twist I will leave that to those who are competing to decide what twist you would prefer.
I'm very happy to be the sub-BERC for this round, so long as I don't hear any objections. If there are no objections I'll randomly generate a starting station at about 8pm tonight.

Sorry to hear your going through the wars at the moment Kev. I'm more than happy to produce the two lists of stations as well (8 including the starting station in one envelope and 7 in another envelope).

Oh and by 2 lists surely its two sets of 15 stations and you choose which one to do at the start?

Oh DLR and Overground would be good also :)

I need clarification on the 2 envelopes.... don't get it.

Well two separate lists of 15 stations would be generated (same starting station) and put in separate envelopes. Every challenger gets both lists and then upon opening them chooses which set of stations to do.

Just one thing im not sure on is if the same station could be geneated on both lists or once its generated on one list it cant be generated on the second list.

EG if the starting station is Earls Court both lists will have Earls Court, but can both lists also both have Bank for example.

Oops! I got the wrong end of the stick with the "two envelope" idea! Two choices of 15 stations is a better idea! :D

As all stations will be selected randomly, so one or more station may appear on both lists.

But.... what if one list comes out with things like "Mornington Crescent" and pain in the arse stations like Kensington (Olympia)? Then that is a no-brainer.

Wont have Ken-O, but I get your point. Though part of the challenge is choosing the correct list aswell as getting round the network quick!

No, no, no the two lists are in envelope 1 which has 8 stations including the starting station.... You MUST do these 8 first....... Once completed you can open envelope 2 which contains 7 stations to visit........
Exactly as Glen has already correctly stated..........

The only rule that needs clearing up is that lets say when you open the 2nd envelope IF it contains a station you have visited by chance in set of stations in the 1st envelope do you have to visit it again?

My vote would be no....

As for DLR and Overground, they have already been done.........

The only problem I can see with that idea is that what's to stop people looking at the second envelope?

I vote for going through the station again if it appears again on the first and second list.

The same thing that stops people from cheating on any challenge (including GWR's) and that is honesty......... What is there to stop people submitting incorrect times, only visiting 13 stations instead of 15...... I think we can trust everyone to play the game with a straight bat, after all you are only cheating yourself and deep down any victory or places gained would be very hollow.......

OK so we have 1 vote all for the second station(s) scenario
