Well, better than it dishonestly stopping working. You might think it was working, but then it loses five minutes every 24 hours just to spite you, and before you know it you're missing trains and being late for important business meetings. Then you get fired from your job and your partner leaves you for having such poor control over your life. You can't keep up the mortgage payments and you quickly become homeless. Then you resort to begging on the street between Aldgate and Aldgate East while you watch Tube Challengers running between the station. You daydream about when you used to be one of them, when you used to be able to afford a train ticket, and then you get hit by a car because you're not paying attention to the traffic. You die a sad and lonely death, with nothing for company but your watch, which seems to have started working properly again in the accident.

It could happen.

I'm hot. I'm back. I'm tired.

Missed the first connection at West Harrow - shows how important good connections are. Switched to a fast Baker Street to get back on track but didn't work as the S Stock driver was having a bit of a laugh whilst the train was held to regulate services.

"There are beggars and buskers operating on this train. Please do not encourage them by supporting them." #rratt
(at which point the whole train lolled)

But the talking stopped at St. Paul's. I started there. A crap connection at Bank meant I waited for 6 minutes. 8:29, and only 2 stations gone. Waterloo was Average though. I ran down the platform after I took the train number (001!) and nearly got shut out by the driver! People were still boarding. This wasn't good. Still, time could be made up at Embankment. Or not. Once again, the train pulled out on me - 3 whole minutes to wait for the next one. And I missed the number of that one, meaning I had to wait for it to leave to get it at Westminster before I could run to the Jubilee Line. Got it, and then ran. And ran. And ran. But I did get there. Train 337 pulled in just as I got there - epic win. Still, it wasn't so bad. The record had gone. Green Park was the lowest low point though. I JUST missed a Victoria Line train (leaving when I got there). 2 mins. 2 whole minutes. Which meant missing the Oxford Circus connection by about 5 seconds. Shit. And I realised that if I'd not have missed the District Line, then I would have made both of them. I have lost 7 minutes. Bollocks. Bakerloo. Metropolitan. Great Portland Street. Hammersmith & City (1 min :-D ). Euston Square. Is there a worse sentence in the English language than "Circle Line via King's Cross - delayed"? No, is your answer. King's Cross St. Pancras. Run to Piccadilly Line. Last one. Last hop down to Russell Square. 58:25. My slowest time by 1:23. Off the record by 23:48. Time to go home.

16:24
I'm sorry to disappoint you all, but I Didn't do it. 58:25. Write-up, as ever, on forum L8r #rratt

Oh, and one more thing - on the way there, I got a "Woodford via Hainult."

If you get a rubbish connection like this early on, you can always stop your watch, go back to St Pauls and try again rather than keeping going.

Problem was that I started late and things would only get worse if I restarted.
