I think it might have been your luck (except that often none of it worked for you) as every TC record I have you were part of the team!scrxisi wrote:Karahan luck has run out?

Re: Return of the evening Z1 - Tuesday 18th August 1830 meet
Having had no good route when I arrived, I grabbed some Tube Maps and started scribbling whilst I waited for the others to appear. After several attempts I believed I finally had a route with potential. This went as follows:
NHG- Baywaster- Earl's Court- KX- Bank- Chancery (run) Farringdon- Aldagte (run) Ald. East- Sloane Square- Victoria- Vauxhall (SWT) Waterloo- Bridge- Elephant- Padd (Bak) (run) Padd H&C- Euston Sq. (run) Euston- TCR- Queenway
However, I made a very big mistake...upon the change at Bayswater the next train out was a Circle (1 min), with a Wimbo 2 minutes behind that. Somehow the brain failed to realise I needed ECT so I stayed on the Circle to South Ken and carried on with my route (to KX). I only became aware of my error when I had already finished the challenge and was discussing routes at the meeting point...of Earl's Court!
Apart from this my route was fantastic with several very good connections. The longest being the good old H&C at Padd! As I neared what I thought was the finished station I knew I had a very good time. After I stopped the clock I carried on back to NHG and interchanged to the Circle/District to meet up at ECT.
Since I "finished" I took the interchange casually, just missing a Circle by seconds! 5 minutes wait for the Wimbo that got me into ECT for 2156 and waited for a while for the others to appear. If I realised I missed out ECT earlier on I would of given it my all at the NHG interchange.... oh well, that's hindsight!

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!

But even had you caught that Circle, Tangy, you'd not have made it to Earls Court any more quickly - unless you'd got lucky with an Olympia train.

I was more thinking taking the Circle to Glos. Rd. and swapping over to the westbound District there rather than bailing at HSK and relying on the Kenny O.

Re: Return of the evening Z1 - Tuesday 18th August 1830 meet
My route did have some similarities to Hakan's suggestion.
Notting Hill Gate - Earls Court - Kings Cross - Bank - Queensway - Bayswater - Paddington (Cir) - Paddington (H&C) - Edgware Road (Cir) - Edgware Road (Bak) - Regents Park - Great Portland Street - Aldgate East - Aldgate - Sloane Square - Victoria - Vauxhall - Waterloo - London Bridge - Elephant & Castle - Embankment - Euston
I had a pretty good start until reaching Paddington where I just missed an H&C and had to wait 13 minutes for the next one. After that everything was OK except for a couple of minor delays at the end at E+C and Embankment for a final time of 3:11.
