It would be interesting to see how many people on here were alive when Blake Hall station closed. I was eight years old at the time.

I most certainly wasn't alive when it closed, infact I was minus six!

There's a good chance I was conceived in the month it closed.

I'm showing my age.

Not only was I born, I've got off the train at Blake Hall to visit the lovely wooden pre-Norman church at nearby Greensted. Then walked on to Ongar and caught the train back.

I didn't realise it closed that long ago.
