Andi - I edited your last post because you hadn't made it clear which bit of GU's post you were referring to, and the rest of it was just duplicating it.

The day started on a funny note, when upon waiting for the T4 train at Hatton Cross, one of the lorries I fixed the previous week pulled up outside full of Metro newspapers! My work seems to follow me about...

Highlights:
--15 second change at Brixton
--Making a c2c out of Upminster with seconds to spare (with Nigel)
--Route 307 bus immediately upon exiting at High Barnet- and then got to Cockfosters and jumped on a train ready to leave.
--Getting a rare platform- my District line train to Ealing Broadway pulled into platform 9 (never done this platform before)!
--Woodford via Hainault 4 minute wait.
--Getting an unexpected train, as the next train screen showed "not in service" but is was in service and it seemed to have got "diverted."
--Bakerloo n/b showing 8 minutes for H&W train- worked out the Queen's Park terminator due immediately would just make the NLL at Queen's Park, it did!
--Edgware Road (Circle)- less than a minute change.

Lowlights:
--Slow/stop start running approaching Finchley Central. Hence 11 minutes for MHE shuttle!
--Previous to this, a 7 minute wait (and wrong branch), so had to switch at Camden.
--Making a right mess up (of my own making) of Wimbledon- Morden. Train to train in 33 minutes!!!
--Uxbridge. Piccadilly pulls into middle platform- next train out on platform 1- but doors don't open that side, so had to run round the buffers, just as I did, it pulled out! Though it gave the odd situation of doing the UXB branch without getting on a Met train (as the second train out was same Picc). Indeed my first S stock bash of the day wasn't until I reached Northwick Park!
--Epping. Train inbound late- hence same train back out- in 6 minutes!

I too had issues with water supplies running low but did get the chance to get some more marathon style as I did the Walthamstow run!

Forgot to say that had we come inside the GWR time unless Nozza gets his camera back that was left on a train in the morning that evidence would be on the thin side as we would have only had the pictures taken on my back up one used afterwards!

Indeed, all thanks to them.

But if only someone could set up a forum somewhere, where people could discuss the tube challenge. That would probably help raise awareness too.

We had an amusing incident at Epping when Glen thought he'd spotted the latest Art on the Underground project and yelled "Labyrinth". On not much closer inspection it turned out to be a ventilation fan. Needless to say for the rest of the day we yelled "labyrinth" whenever we saw anything vaguely circular

I think you'll find that it was at Leyton.
