Seems there are a lot of problems with speed restrictions on several lines and some station closures, this may cause us some problems on May 19th

Surely they'll be cleared up by then?

According to:

So,
no Queensway this year either then. Pass through mandatory though.

You call that an excuse?
Pfft.

To whom it may concern:
Rather misleadingly, the Zone 1 2006 subsection of the Tubechallenge website states we are meeting at "Argyle Street". I assume this is referring to
Argyll Street, which is just outside Oxford Circus tube station, and not the Argyle Street just outside King's Cross St. Pancras!
For those of us unfamiliar with London (...

), looking up Argyle Street may lead you some way off our intended meeting point.
I expect to be there now.

Argyll, with a G, surely?!
It's a street just off Oxford Street (Oxford Circus) at any rate.
Edit: Oxford Street. The bit thereof between Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Road.

Haha, yes, that was a rather unfortunate typo on my part!
Argyll Street it is.
In other news, does anybody know approximately how long we're going to be spending at the pub post-event? I see the results will be announced at 1730, but how long will people be staying after that? My girlfriend can't (and won't!) join me in the challenge, but says she'd love to meet my "geeky tube friends" afterwards - although she can't be in London before 1800 at the earliest and is worried she'll turn up with nobody there!

Closing time, probably.
We're pretty heavy drinkers.

I'll be there later on, along with Chelle.
Last year the pub went on until almost 8 IIRC, and then the few of us left went on to Wetherspoon's and I spilt beer all over everyone. Excellent.

That's cool. I'll be up for staying a few hours.
I'm 18, my girlfriend Cloey is 19, will there be anyone younger than us at the pub? Earlier in this thread it was stated a "teen-friendly" pub would be needed, but is that still the case?

My son is taking part in my team he has just turned 15 so I hope this will be ok? As we certainly want to meet up later and least get the results

And of course Dad will no doubt be rather thirtsy after all this rushing around

I'm 33. Will there be anyone OLDER than me at the pub is what I want to know?
