I have a non running route that would break this record and I'm bloody determined to prove it.
So watch this space....

Oh and how can Marc possibly judge who his threat is when he doesn't know any of us...

Well if marathon times are an indication of ability to break the record, I should have smashed it by now as my marathon PB is 2:43:42, but that was set a little while ago.

That's a phenomenal time Nigel! Which marathon was that run over?

My 2h43m best was set at the now defunct Harlow Marathon (in the early 1990s) - I liked that course, as I also ran a 2:44 and a 2:45 over it in other years. My best time in the London Marathon was 2:46 in 1993. In fact between 1987 and 2003 when a knee injury stopped my carrer I ran over 20 consecutive marathons all under 3 hours.

best Tube Challenger was and still is BOB ROBINSON no doubt about it whether Marc ever has any plans to do again or not who knows.Giving the amount of research that he obviously put in to it i suspect that he also researched some of other peoples attempts so would at least if not well know some of the tube challengers that would be a threat to his record! If his case for an upminster start and Epping finish then it might throw an interesting curveball at end of august.?

He is, but it does say the record was broken on "21st April 2001"

No wonder it's a fast time Marc Gawley can time travel!
