You are the fox, then? It is definitely not recommended to do a Parkrun in a fox costume.

I would strongly recommend not running in a costume like this. I really struggled with heat around the head.

Yep. Have my visit to Hove planned for Friday, then usual Saturday run at Southsea.

I hope nobody's affected by the flooding. This is very close to, but not on, the Southsea parkrun route.

Well that was kill or cure, two fairly muddy courses and a lot a coughing and spluttering and the legs are certainly feeling it now :!:

Still 4 down and 1 to go for the festive season :P

It was me and the Cooks at Plymvalley this morning. My fourth worst time ever, at 26:26, but the alternative course is not a PB course, given the mud and the hill, and the crappy weather. Might go to Exeter tomorrow, just to smash a decent time in.

I had a great time in Hove.

Hove Promenade is a nice, wide, flat and fast course. I ran under 27 minutes when I was deliberately trying not to run too fast.

Then Brighton and Hove, which is kind of a beginners' hilly course. There are some hills, but they're really not that bad, and there's a very nice downhill section leading into a flat finish - perfect for fast(ish) finishers like me. Not a great time in absolute terms, but a lot faster than I thought I'd be doing on a second parkrun.

Southsea tomorrow. Forecast: wet and windy! Plus ça change ...

It's was nice to meet up with Neil at Plym Valley my 6th run there. I've yet to run it when it's not raining. The alternative course was interesting having to do the hill twice.

Also a big thank you Neil for the lift back to the station.

Not a great time 28.38 but a PB for 2016.

I also did Hove Prom and Hove Park today! Didn't try to go too crazy at Hove Prom as I wanted to save something for Hove Park. At Hove Prom I found the easterly wind was a bit troublesome, first lap a managed to tuck in behind a big fella and used him as a wind break but no such luck on the 2nd lap. The big fella had pulled away and nobody else was going my pace! So the scores on the doors for the 'New Years Day Double' are:
Hove Prom: 23:37
Hove Park: 23:25
My target for the year is to try and go sub 22 minutes but with only 5 or 6 runs possible per year this won't be easy. I'm working tomorrow so only 4 out of 5 for me over the seasonal period.
One day I shall return!
