Yep have to echo Matt's comments it have to be one of the dullest challenges for the first 3 hours and then you have that frantic hour in London for letter's L  T, before a gentle wind down U,V & W.... I did vow never do attempt this again after just missing out on the record two years ago, but as they say time is a great healer... I don't think this challenge has been attempted since 2006 either.... Why it is held in such high esteem as an alternative challenge I have no idea......... :?

Well it was absolute mayhem at Bond St., I have never let one train go before on a challenge let alone two but is was just too busy, noisy and chaotic really.... There was no point in attempting to go up and down knocking of the L  Q letters it would have taken far too long and the trains were more jam packed and hotter than rush hour......so the lure of the pub won the day....

Like Matt I was very drunk by the end of the session, must have been the booze on a empty stomach and I remember Mrs G.U. saying that I was slurring on the phone when she called me by which time I was walking home from Ashford Station... The darts was really good and I can't remember what bollocks we were talking about after Andi had shot off....

I will pass on The N.H.C. challenge next year thanks........

Still looking forwards to Cannon Street run III coming soon I believe..... :D

ooh yes. funnily enough i was just thinking about the cannon street run today. do you think we should do a different challenge again this year for it? it seems like a good idea if we're gonna make a habit of doing the CSR every year. maybe a mouse this year? i've never done one of those yet.

p.s. andi, check out the thread for last years Cannon Street Run in the thread linked below. Although don't be fooled by the first page, if you read on you'll see we ended up sailing ye bottle.

Even though we didn't complete this time I still have a strange compulsion to give it another go some time. I think it is still possible to knock a couple of minutes off the record but Notting Hill Carnival day is not the best time to try!

Highlights: Abandoning and going back to the pub to play darts!
Lowlights: Falling down the stairs at Ickenham  (I still made the train though :D )
