The twin circular arcs supporting the screens remind me of the contraption (also in the middle of a roundabout) visible from SWT trains looking north at Wandswoth Town station, which is the doppleganger of the alien machine from the movie Contact.

Do you mean the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico, also used in GoldenEye? It's one of my favourite structures.

Erm, he means the machine they built to travel through time in the film Contact which is purely a fictional construct, as opposed to the rather more tangible Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico. ;)

Tubeguru, you are correct; I mean this

- though the Arecibo Observatory is indeed better looking.

Correct answers:
tubeguru
Richard
CrunchySaviour
dudey
jbom1 (who found the photo I nicked for the quiz)
Nigel
Lancaster Gate
editorsfoot
joy54
nozzacook

Wrong answers:
jonny
Sam
Starkey7
Steeevooo
Going Underground
palkanetoijala31
uefacup81

Wrong guesses:
Waterloo
Vauxhall x 3
Elephant and Castle x 3

Clues? Well, the large Congestion C on the road suggests it's in zone 1, and looking at the stations on the edge of the C zone only three were next to large roundabouts - and only one of those has a whacking great ad hording on it.
