DLR Challenge

Post by jonny »

Now that Langdon Park has opened, we have some problems caused to the League table. Here are a couple of possible solutions. Suggest more if you think of some.

http://www.jonnylyon.net/tubechallenge/

1. Leave the league table as it is, putting the number of stations for each attempt in brackets, for example:

Code: Select all

01:46:55 (38) Ric Brackenbury
01:47:03 (39) Homer Simpson
01:47:23 (38) Matt ("Scrxisi")
2. Start a new table when a 39-configuration attempt is made, but leave the 38-config table at the bottom.

i think i'd prefer the later option, purely for clarity, since we have agreed that it is now a new record to be set with the opening of Langdon Park.

while i'm in this thread, has anyone else heard about the closure of Tower Gateway station for some kind of refurbishment in Summer 2008? let's hope it's not before next years anniversary challenge!

I think that the old records for DLR38 should be retired but still shown on your site Jonny. A new record now needs to be set for DLR39, what is interesting is that the DLR timetable now appears to have changed since Langdon Park opened. There used to be a direct Lewisham to Stratford train at 19:15, taking 28 mins (which allowed for a theoretical route of 1h31m!) but this service no longer exhists. The only direct trains now operate in the morning until 09:13 and take 31 mins.

Has anyone checked Journey Planner yet, they still don't show Langdon Park as an option  Good old TFL :)
One day I shall return!
